Vick Allen's NO ONE shows when you know what you have to offer don't be afraid to walk away

Over the years Vick Allen has shown us many sides of his songwriting ability, whether it is about having a good time, celebrating that special lady and just talking about love. In NO ONE, however, we see him sharing something that our men experience: not being appreciated for what we bring to the table.

NO ONE is all about being with someone who doesn't seem to really know what they have, even when you have given them your best. So Vick has no problem saying "You'll never find no one who loves you like I do."

Great message that men and women can relate to, when you are being done wrong or not being treated right there is nothing wrong with walking away.

The next great wedding song? ANYTHING FOR YOU is that good. Wow.

Okay Ledisi and P.J. Morton together on ANYTHING is sure to be good---and the song ANYTHING FOR YOU is proof of that.

It's all about the love that both the man and woman want---and the appreciation you feel when you get it. Love how their voices come together on this one. Such a great song I can see this for weddings, wedding receptions---pretty much anything where love is the theme.

This is the musical pairing we have been needing. Couldn't be any better.

Jimmy Allen's THIS IS US shows that life is better together

Reflecting on the mistakes that have been made and those who had gotten away, Jimmy Allen's THIS IS US shows that in time we can find the one we are meant to be with---if we take advantage of the moment. Building on the lessons of the past we can realize who was there for us and should be in our life, then it's up to us to do what it takes to keep them.

THIS IS US shows that life is better together, so let's make sure we appreciate that special someone when we find them.

Terry Ellis' ANGRY BLACK WOMAN speaks to the time but also the mood of the moment

"Nowadays I can't believe what's going on in front of me. I don't want to watch TV and find another casualty."

With that opening Terry Ellis' ANGRY BLACK WOMAN sets the stage for what is a powerful 4 minute rebuke of a system that seems rigged against people of color---and the heartache and pain that so many feel.

There are so many beautiful layers to this song, at the core being about when someone is sick and tired of being sick and tired how they are labeled as "angry". As Ellis says "for so long we've been patient now we're done." For so long there were promises of a better time, but with little change.

How long will she remain "angry"? She gives the answer: "As long as my brothers and sisters are in trouble."

Powerful. Passionate. Purposeful. ANGRY BLACK WOMAN speaks to the time but also the mood of the moment.

Alexander James Rodriguez's MY CREW reminds us that there's no I in TEAM. We rise together

Found out about this song through a post on Facebook, and after hearing it I knew it was something I wanted to purchase and share.

This song is all about the things that I believe: we rise together. If you have been blessed to have those who have been in your corner since your journey began you'll appreciate this song. You learn together. You play together. As Alexander sings "Together there is nothing we can't do. "

Love the beat and the message. This is one of those songs that any age can really appreciate.

With OWN IT Tori Kay encourages you to make your presence known

Love everything about this song, the beat and the lyrics make for a great marriage of fun and encouragement.

Tori Kay's OWN IT is all about taking the space you're in and make it your own. Don't worry about trying to fit in or shrinking back to make others more comfortable. Recognize who you are and what you bring to the world---then share it.  Don't just talk about it. Do it.

A song of inspiration and empowerment, OWN IT encourages you to make your presence known.

Devin Marie's I CAN'T BREATHE is a powerful narrative of what is happening in the world right now

This song will stick with you for sure. Devin Marie's I CAN'T BREATHE captures the moment we are in but also shows that for some their only crime is that some see their skin color as a crime. It also points out what should be the obvious: all cops are not bad but for those who are taking lives for seemingly no reason, these are the ones making the I CAN'T BREATHE anthem necessary.

In less than 3 minutes Devin tells the narrative that is the experience of people of color across the United States. That makes it a message that deserves to be heard.
